Ways to enjoy crooked coffee

Pour over

Minimal equipment, max flavor. If you’re looking for something new to be snobby about, look no further.

French Press

Nothing like finally plunging a french press. Plus, French things are elegant. Everyone knows that.

Cold Brew

Please stop shoving a pound of ice cubes into hot coffee and calling it iced.

Pour Over

1. Place the filter in your pour over and add 25 grams or just shy of 2 tablespoons of fine-to-medium ground coffee. If you order our coffee pre ground, it will be ground for pour over or drip coffee making.
2. Pour just enough water to wet the grounds, about 1-2 ounces of water
3. Let the grounds sit for 30 seconds to “bloom” then slowly pour in the remaining 6-7 ounces of hot (not boiling) water in a circling motion, moving from the center outward
4. The pour and brewing time should take two to three minutes
5. What else do you need to know?

5. Sorry, we can’t tell you what to do after that. Maybe go for a walk or something?

Drip Coffee (Do you seriously need this?)

1. First, ask yourself how you got this far in life without learning how to make drip coffee. Our education system is really failing us, huh?
2. Grab your medium-fine ground coffee. Our pre-ground is perfect for any drip coffee machine.
3. Place a filter into your machine. We recommend finding a reusable filter to reduce waste, but one made from the pulverized remains of an ancient, life-giving tree will do in a pinch.
4. Place the ground coffee into the filter. Didn’t see that coming, did you?
5. Add one heaping tablespoon of ground coffee for every cup (or 6 ounces) of coffee you want to brew. This is the only math in these instructions—we promise.
6. Add cold, filtered water to your machine’s reservoir. Yes, your coffee machine is a water snob.
7. Press the start button—that’s the big one
8. Enjoy! You have successfully made drip coffee and can now consider yourself a functioning adult.
